WASHINGTON: The United States and the European Union are nearing completion of an agreement that would allow law enforcement and security agencies to obtain private information - including credit card transactions, travel histories and Internet browsing habits - about people on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.

Opposition to the Fingerprint Registry in the Senate House Legislation

The Liberty Coalition recently sent a letter to Senators Reid and McConnell strongly urging them to oppose provisions of housing legislation that recently passed the Senate Banking Committee that would establish a mandatory fingerprint registry for thousands of American workers neither convicted nor even suspected of a crime.
