What's going on at Justice?

Unfortunately,( or not) I do not get to see all of the hearings in the
House and Senate that I would like to be able to. Fortunately, for me,
others do attend and are able to keep track of the substance of the
various hearings. Two hearings, I would have like to have seen as
reported in the August 27th issue of the American Conservative magazine
(C-EST MOA. Page 4) is the hearing in the Senate, were the panel’s
ranking Republican told AG Gonzales “Your credibility has been breached
to the point of being actionable.” And the Chairman of the Judiciary
Committee said “ I don’t trust you.” I don’t know what is worse , the
AG who is the nations top law-enforcement officer being distrusted by
ranking Senate members in the committee that provides over-sight of his
department or when White House Policy Director Sara Evans told the
Judiciary Committee in the Senate at a different hearing that ‘”I took
an oath to the president, and I take that oath very seriously.” Both
are signs of an executive out of control. I hope President Bush does
the right thing and tells Gonzales to resign and informs his present
and future staff that their oath is to the Constitution and not to an
office, agency or individual. Michael D. Ostrolenk
