You are invited to an evening of discussions on the topic of
"The Presidency, Privacy, and Domestic Surveillance." The
evening's featured speaker is Charlie Savage, winner of the
2007 Pulitzer Prize for his reporting for the Boston Globe.
Charlie will start our evening with a discussion on "revelations
that President Bush often used 'signing statements' to assert
his controversial right to bypass provisions of new laws."

Charlie will talk about his new book "Takeover: The Return of
the Imperial Presidency and the Subversion of American
Democracy."

A panel presentation on the topic of "The Presidency, Privacy,
and Domestic Surveillance," will complete the evening. We
hope you can join us for this special EPIC evening at Busboys
& Poets, on Friday, October 5, 2007 from 8 pm to 10 pm.
