Stop trying to control.
Let go of fixed plans and concepts,
and the world will govern itself.
The U.S. House passed wih no debate today HR 4614, a bill which seeks to mandate the collection of DNA samples from people who have been convicted of no crime.
Under the bill states are encouraged to collect DNA samples from people who have been accused of violent and/or sexual crimes. Not people convicted of such crimes, but just those "arrested or charged." The DNA would then be entered into an FBI database. Thus one police investigator on his own inititive could commit this outrageous violation of privacy.
States who do not implement such DNA collection procedures would have federal funds denied them.
The bill now moves on to the Senate.
